Stepfree

Privacy notice

Last updated 30 October 2026

Stepfree is a service from TwoTen Studio ("we"). This notice explains what personal information we collect through this website and the Stepfree app, why, and your rights. If you have questions, email hello@digitallystepfree.com.

When you send us an enquiry

We collect the details you give us in the contact form: your name, email address, and optionally your organisation, website address, what you're interested in and your message. We also keep a scrambled code derived from your internet address to stop the form being abused. We can't turn it back into your address.

We use this only to reply to you and, if you ask, to prepare a quote. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering enquiries, or taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.

We keep enquiries for up to 24 months, unless you become a client, in which case we keep them for as long as we work together and for six years afterwards for our business records.

When you use the Stepfree app

If we set up an account for you, we store your name, email address and organisation, a securely scrambled version of your password, and the websites you ask us to test. Scans record what is publicly visible on the pages tested, including a screenshot of the first page. We use this to provide the service you have asked for, under our contract with you or your organisation.

Cookies

The public website sets no cookies. The app sets one cookie, which keeps you signed in. It is strictly necessary, so we don't ask for consent. We don't use analytics or advertising cookies.

Who we share it with

We don't sell your information or use it for marketing without asking. We use these suppliers to run the service, and they only process information on our instructions:

Your rights

You can ask to see the information we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, or to object to how we use it. Email hello@digitallystepfree.com and we'll respond within one month.

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
